2338 – IT Operations Team Lead - Aberdeen
We’re looking for an IT Operations Support Team Lead to join our team on a permanent basis onsite in Aberdeen. In this IT Operations Support Team Lead role, you will provide day to day leadership and co-ordination of a technical support function consisting of Desktop, Applications, and Platform support team members.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate the day-to-day work activities (operational and project) across team members
- Act as the technical and delivery point of escalation and liaison for the team and stakeholders
- Manage the on-call, offshore and shift rotas ensuring appropriate cover
- Undertake ownership of Incident, Request, Change and Problem Management processes
- Ensure service quality and customer service expectations and Service Level Agreement (SLA) achievement
- Provide activity progress updates to IT stakeholders
- Promote and manage Continual Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives

- Experience of leading a technical support team
- Knowledge and experience of the Oil & Gas industry
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders
- Organisational and time management skills
- Decision making skills
- Proactive with a keen interest in technology
- Flexible and committed approach to work
- Good knowledge of relevant IT industry standards and trends
- ITIL® Foundation and/or have experience of working within an environment which has adopted ITIL® methodology, in particular incident and problem management
