Job Description
We're looking for a Infrastructure Analyst to join our defence clients team with a salary of around £53k (dependent on experience), plus bonus and benefits. This role offers a hybrid working pattern with a blended approach to on-site and remote working.
Your main responsibility will be to work with our Suppliers to ensure that IT Infrastructure Services (Back Office) can meet the needs of our clients consumers and that services are reliable, secure, and performant. To be a great fit for this role, you should have experience as a 2nd or 3rd line Technical Support Engineer or Systems Administrator.
You'll need solid experience in Wintel/Microsoft infrastructure solutions such as Windows Server 2016, Active Directory Domain Services, MS Exchange, SCOM, and MECM. You should also have operational knowledge of Database & Storage solutions such as Oracle, SQL, and NetApps, as well as Network technologies including Routers, Switches, DNS, etc. A solid security risk awareness and the ability to solve complex infrastructure technical problems with the capability to own and lead a Rapid Action Team are also essential.
While not mandatory, understanding Cloud Services such as Microsoft Azure and Containerisation Technologies, Cyber Security, and ITIL would be an advantage.
As our Infrastructure Analyst, you'll work closely with our Suppliers to ensure that the infrastructure service they deliver is reliable, performant, and secure. You'll find ways to make a difference by innovating to improve the service and risk assess change and find root cause fixes to problems.
