Job Description
We are searching for an additional Infrastructure Analyst, someone with a passion for infrastructure technologies and IT. You will enjoy delivering excellent customer service whilst taking an active role in day-to-day development and support services within a successful IT Solutions business.
The role is home-based with regular visits to customer offices located in Exeter, Newton Abbot and Honiton. The position is being offered on a hybrid working basis and you will be providing infrastructure services across multiple sites. A driver's licence and your own car is required (all mileage is covered by an expenses policy).
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure you will be a talented Infrastructure Analyst who the ability to support the operational needs of a busy IT Team. You will also be involved in supporting special IT projects with responsive delivery and strong problem-solving abilities being required.
This role covers the Network, Telephony, Server and Storage aspects of infrastructure. There is a large virtual environment based on VMware vSphere and Horizon VDI. With the cloud and digital challenges, it would be advantageous to have experience of cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and Azure. The environment also consists of a WAN with over 90 sites interconnected, two data centres and over 300 servers.
There will be an element of out of hours support required and some out of hours working when significant upgrades are performed, this is nothing you wouldn't expect for a role like this.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate a range of skills and experiences, including, commercial knowledge of VMWare VSI and VDI, in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack, and a good understanding of how this is all brought together to provide end users/clients with the stable and secure IT services they expect.
