Infrastructure Design Engineer (Automation / Azure / DevOps)
The successful candidate will be joining a team who are responsible for the design and delivery of my clients technology platforms and Infrastructure. This includes servers, storage, user devices, database, identity and directory services, office productivity, application / desktop virtualisation, unified collaboration and operational monitoring.
The role will have a broad scope covering automated platforms (both on premise and cloud based) and infrastructure builds, data centre to cloud deployments / migrations, designs for resilience and high availability in data centres.
It will work closely with both internal teams and 3rd party organisations, acting as an internal subject matter expert (SME) to design, deploy and lead the implementation of platform & infrastructure services.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Strong experience of working in a senior infrastructure engineering capacity, ideally with some design exposure.
- Strong knowledge of core infrastructure including Windows Servers (2012 - 2019), Active Directory, VMware and Storage
- Experience with a variety of automation tools and platforms (covering both in premise and cloud based infrastructure), including cloud service experience covering Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
- Good knowledge of scripting (PowerShell)
- A good understanding of Agile Methodologies.
- An understanding of the DevOps mind-set, collaboration, automation and tooling.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (required)

- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (desired)
- Azure Fundamentals / Azure Administrator AZ-104 (desired)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
