Job Description


Job Title: Internal Application Engineer

Location: Bicester

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Internal Application Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with customers and internal stakeholders, preparing accurate costings, quotations, and tenders, and providing technical support and solutions that meet customer needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaising
with Sales on the customer's requirements and specifications, including scope
and timing.


Reviewing RFQ/tender documents to ensure contractual requirements are adequately defined and determine the Company's capability to meet the specified requirements.


Preparing and submitting the techno-commercial offer to Sales as per the offer submission schedule.


Reviewing and evaluating detailed technical specifications for packaged equipment, extract applicable customer requirements, and communicate the same to sub-contractors, sub-vendors, and internal stakeholders.


Obtaining quotations for relevant bought-in equipment in accordance with applicable Supply Chain policies and procedures.


Performing technical and commercial evaluation of sub-suppliers' quotations (for the major critical components/items) to ensure the quote/scope follows the customer's requirements/specifications.


Developing and submitting a detailed proposal to the customer in accordance with the applicable Tendering Policies and Procedures (ITO - Inquiry to Order).


Ensuring the CPQ tender data and tendering front log are accurately completed and actively managed.


Providing ongoing technical and commercial clarifications as requested by the customer and internal stakeholders to support successful order placement.


Providing tendering support to regional tendering and sales teams for win order strategies across the product lines to ensure all activities occur on time and with high quality from proposal receipt to handover.


Following up on all quotations to assist with the conversion of quotations to orders. • Project managing orders between the factories, 3rd party suppliers, and other services to ensure on-time delivery of all goods and services offered.

Qualifications and
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field is a
bonus, but not essential.


Proven track record of success in sales or business development, in the water industry and pump & rotating equipment industry.


Strong technical knowledge of pumps and related equipment.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.


Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of autonomy. Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience working with CRM systems (SAP or equivalent).


Valid UK driving license.
