Premier IT Managed Service Provider looking to add to their growing and successful team.
We have a role for an additional IT Field Engineer to join their growing and friendly team based in their offices in central Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day support for their vibrant client base, as well they on-site troubleshooting and equipment installations.
Key Responsibilities include:-
- Excellent remote support to resolve client issues
- Configuration of Network & Wireless Devices, Including Switches and Routers
- On-Site attendance to resolve IT issues, and install new desktops, laptops and networking devices
- Reviewing hardware level system alerts and resolving as needed
- Ensuring client system documentation is up-to-date and accurate
- Collaborating with Project Managers for Project Deliveries, around Office365 and Server Workloads
- Working with Senior Management to constantly improve our excellent customer service
- Providing mentoring for Junior Staff and passing on IT Support skills
Working with the following environments:
- Microsoft Desktop & Server operating systems
- Microsoft Office 365 & Microsoft Azure
- Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and related Network Services
- Networking Skills, including QoS and VLANS
- Mac OSX operating systems
- Virtualised Environments: Hyper-V & VMware
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the role:
- Experienced IT Professional
- Keen interest in IT
- Microsoft product & system knowledge and experience is essential
- Strong networking skills and experience in network troubleshooting
- Driving Licence and Car Essential - travelling & parking expenses reimbursed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work on own initiative
- IT-related qualifications are advantageous
- Experience/knowledge of Apple products and systems would be advantageous
Salary will be dependent upon experience and technical ability.
Ideally, this would suit a seasoned IT Support person with at least 2 years or more solid experience looking to prove themselves in a demanding role that offers excellent advancement opportunities, allowing for a mixture between office based remote support combined with on-site service delivery, with a focus on longer term solutions and systems.
