IT Manager opportunity for a leading organisation in Northampton paying £50-55,000 per annum + benefits and hybrid working.

We are a fast-growing company, both organically and via M&A, backed by private equity, and we are looking to onboard an Information Systems & Technology Manager (IS&T Manager) to helps us in this exciting journey.
We are looking for a technically sound, confident and improvement focused IT manager. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing the group IT strategy, supporting the organisation to operate at its full potential.
The role will be pivotal in enabling us to work in a smart and efficient way. We use a number of external suppliers who will be under the responsibility of the IS&T Improvement Manager. Direct responsibilities include:
- Develop good understanding of the company's activities and its operating mode
- Develop a holistic IT&S strategy for the group and each of its entities, including infrastructure, security, systems, processes and policies. It includes defining which activities should be insourced and outsourced
- Scope, research, select and implement the systems, processes and infrastructure to enable the organisation to perform at its best and grow, while remaining lean
- Manage all IT assets and maximise their life cycle
- Manage suppliers' contracts and service delivery
- Provide level 1 support to on-site and remote users
- Define and manage the IS&T budget
Skills and qualifications
- Be genuinely interested in creating a very efficient operating environment

- Expert understanding and experience of IT Infrastructure
- Knowledge of the Microsoft stack, Cloud Technologies, Software Licensing, Infrastructure Technologies and System Design
- Experience of Business Continuity Planning and Delivery
- Software and hardware asset management
- Experience of managing external suppliers
- Proven experience of evaluating new technology - hardware, software, and services
- Experience of managing departmental budget
- Willingness to travel occasionally to various group sites (Italy, France)
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Ability to lead by example
