InterQuest are delighted to be working with a European Commercial bank to help support with the recruitment of a number of Compliance Manager positions.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the Operational Risk Framework, policy/processes and tools, including review and revisions where necessary;
Provide consultation, guidance and support on operational risk management to the business;
Provide training and awareness on operational risk management and framework components, tools and systems across the bank (as required);
Provide independent oversight and challenge to the business operational risk management activities and risk profile
Monitor and report operational risk exposure against management limits and Board risk tolerance.
Lead and/or assist in ad hoc targeted and / or responsive deep dives/thematic reviews into operational risk areas of interest (as appropriate);
Perform analysis and interpret operational risk data for emerging trends and produce regular/ad-hoc reporting for senior management and risk governance forums on the material operational risks within the Bank;
Role requirements:
Have experience and understanding of Technology Risk management (Technology, Data and Information Security) in the Financial Services Industry
Prior experience of working in first line or second line of defence with oversight/review/challenge of Technology, Data an Information Security discipline
Ability to understand and communicate the interconnectedness of various risks types within Operational Risk such as Outsourcing, Change, Payments Risk and Conduct Risk with Technology, Data and Information Security Risks (i.e. network effect of risk)
Be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal including being able to translate risk matters to non-risk professionals (& Technology risk to non IT professionals) in a clear or simple way;
Have knowledge and experience of technology practices/frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, NIST and working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements from PRA/FCA/EBA perspective;
Demonstrated experience and good understanding of one or more of below will be beneficial:
Third Party Risk and Outsourcing;
Cloud services and Cloud Governance;
Change risk oversight and / or assurance;
Understanding of risks and controls within Agile, DevOps and Waterfall methodology.
