Java Developer

Location: Belfast based – Hybrid - flexible working

Salary: £42,000 - £50,000

Package: 10% bonus + 11% pension

Overview

One of the UK’s leading digital solution provider’s is searching for a Java Developer to join their practice in Belfast and work on developing cutting-edge greenfield solutions for their clients using new emerging technologies and trends.

This is a dynamic role which will allow you to gain exposure to a wide range of projects, and clients in different industry sectors. These could be for start-ups wanting to scale at pace or some of the world’s biggest household names across the public and private sector.

As a Java Engineer you will:

• Be responsible for owning and delivering on specific tasks, being the design authority and accountable for creating solutions

• Be a trusted member of the team, and you'll be empowered to move things forward on your own steam

• Have the support of experienced professionals within the team, who can give you guidance and help you make decisions

• You may also be expected coach more junior Engineers in the team, working with them to build their expertise

• It’s important you feel comfortable having team discussions with the client on the project and contributing your thoughts and ideas into the team

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years’ experience in Java

• Experience in at least one related framework such as Spring or Hibernate

• Experience working in agile development teams where you're applying development practices such as

• Experience with one of the public cloud platforms would be a plus (AWS, GCP or Azure)

• Mentoring more junior members of the team
