Junior Application Support Engineer
£35,000 DOE
Liverpool (remote)
Hyperloop Recruitment are working with a Liverpool-based client who are looking for a Junior Application Support Engineer to join their growing team on a remote working basis.
The successful candidate will join a wider team of Support Engineers responsible for the configuration, maintenance and support of our clients' Linux estate, monitoring and investigating incidents in test and production environments.
The role requires some on-call work on a rota basis and would suit a Junior candidate with 12 months' commercial experience looking for the next step in their career in a supportive and robust industry.
Key requirements:
Minimum 12 months' experience in Application Support
Knowledge of Linux / Unix (Debain, Ubuntu)
Apache, Nginx, HAProxy
Monitoring tools such as Grafana or Nagios
ElasticSearch and/or Graylog
Degree educated in Computer Science or a related subject
A bonus if you have used any of the following:
Windows
Programming experience (Bash, C#, SQL or PHP)
Nomad / Kubernetes
VMware, HyperV, Citrix
Experience in Networking
Database experience
The role is paying up to £35,000 DOE + benefits and will be a remote-based role, with only very occasional trips to the Liverpool-based office required.
