Location: Porton Down, Worthy Down

Candidate must be willing to go through DV clearance

Responsibilities include providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, performing installations, and collaborating with customer service teams. Additionally, you contribute to creating innovative solutions and play a vital role in ensuring application satisfaction and functionality.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

·Provide technical support and assistance to end users of software applications.

·Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software applications, including configuration, system errors, user mistakes, and bugs.

·Perform analyses on software application functionality and suggest improvements.

·Document processes and monitor application performance metrics.

·Collaborate with senior engineers and other IT staff to learn best practices and new skills.

·Maintain the software system by installing updates and performing debugging procedures.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

Must have:

·Familiarity with application support processes, including managing documentation, coordinating monitoring, and providing customer service.

·Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

·Effective soft skills: communication, prioritisation, collaboration, empathy, and patience.

·Precise documentation and thorough analysis of issues.

·Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

·Basic understanding of ITIL principles, especially incident and change management.

Preferred:

·Basic Knowledge of SQL databases

·Understanding of PowerShell scripting for System Admin tasks

·Basic understanding of web server configurations and maintenance.
