About Fast Lane: 

Fast Lane is seeking an initiative-taking and ambitious Junior New Business Representative to join the Channel Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business growth by identifying and engaging with potential clients within the Channel and promoting our comprehensive suite of IT learning services.


This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals enthusiastic about technology and sales to kickstart their career in the fast-paced IT training industry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients within the Channel, including IT resellers, distributors, and system integrators, to build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Outbound Sales Activities: Initiate and conduct outbound sales activities such as cold calling, email outreach, and social selling to introduce Fast Lane's IT learning services and generate interest among prospective clients.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organisations to understand their training needs and position Fast Lane as the preferred training partner.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments and consultative sales discussions to recommend appropriate training solutions tailored to the unique requirements and objectives of each client.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop customised training proposals and quotations that address client needs, align with Fast Lane's service offerings, and demonstrate value proposition.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions using CRM tools, and proactively manage the sales pipeline to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to IT training and certification, and leverage this knowledge to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.


Note: This is a revenue-generating role.


Requirements:


  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles preferred, but not required to be in learning or IT.
  • Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to confidently engage with diverse stakeholders and build rapport.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a drive to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Technologically savvy with a keen interest in IT products, services, and industry trends.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
