As a Junior Riser Design Engineer - Global Analyst, you will receive appropriate training to allow you to work within the Baker Hughes Flexible Pipe Systems Engineering team to provide global analysis engineering support from bid acquisition through to project execution .
As a Junior Riser Design Engineer - Global Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Creating dynamic model s in FEA software simulating structure response in the offshore environment
- Designing and analysing flexible riser systems to meet Client specifications and industry standards
- Assessing environmental and vessel data for implementation into a system model
- Presenting design documentation results (Metocean Data, mooring reports etc)
- Producing comprehensive analysis reports for submission as part of either FEED study or Project Execution work
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a degree from an accredited university in Mechanical, Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture
- Have an interest in design of offshore structures
- Have basic experience in Finite Element Analysis
- Have a knowledge of structural mechanics, fluid mechanics , stress analysis and buckling strength analysis of structural components
- Have the ability to write technical reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; organize and provide technical documentation in a logical format for customer evaluation
