Job Title: Key Account Manager


My client is a Global leader across Major domestic Appliances, Small Domestic Appliances, TV's & Audio within the consumer electronics industry. Due to sustained growth they are looking to add a Key Account Manager that has the drive and ambition to join an already successful sales team.


About the Role


Manage a portfolio of Independents and Key Accounts. Create strategies and tactical plans to grow Major Appliances across key categories of Cooling, Laundry, Cooking and Dish. In addition, a focus on SDA categories to include Floorcare. To meet agreed sales and margin targets, whilst consistently retaining profitable customers. You will work to ensure year on year growth on current trading customers and develop new trading Accounts aligned to business growth.


Main responsibilities

• Develop and implement the long-term business strategies, to achieve sales and profit targets.

• Broaden the business opportunities by investigating and developing, as appropriate, all options for route to market.

• Manage business partnerships both current and new to seek out opportunities.

• Manage support to the sales channel through sales promotions, marketing initiatives and training.

• Provide and continually update sales forecasts. Communicate this information to product management to support purchasing and stock planning.

• Maintain an accurate awareness and working knowledge of stock levels.

• To present activity and performance results at sales meetings. Communicate new ideas to maximise sales and profit and brand awareness.

• Discuss with Senior Management creative ways of using additional funding for channel development.

• Report current pricing & product trend information, work with company management to formulate new strategies.

• Propose any pricing/promotional requests in a timely manner and through the Pricing Request system.

• Work within the Budgets allocated to give an agreed ROI.

• Provide effective and timely reports for the management team to be able to manage the business such as Weekly Sales and Aged Stock tracking reports.

• Work with peers within other parts of the company to ensure the growth and success of the business, including contributing ideas and sharing knowledge and experiences.

• Keep up to date with developments in the industry (technology and otherwise) and identify potential new business opportunities.

• Keep up to date oncompany MDA & SDA Product knowledge.
