The Role
Joining our growing Data Science & Analytics team and using the latest technology stack, you will help to design and build our next generation of Business Intelligence reports to measure and monitor business performance. Whilst projects come in a variety of different shapes and sizes, initial work will focus on loan performance data, credit data, customer acquisition data and financial transaction data as well as efforts to standardise KPIs and reports across different business areas. You will also take a lead on helping to define best practices for Business Intelligence within Lending works and help to drive a culture of self-serve analytics across the business. work cross-functionally with the opportunity to work with a variety of different stakeholders including the founders, the senior leadership team members, other members of the Data Science & Analytics team and many more.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement BI solutions whilst ensuring consistency and scalability
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to gather requirements and lead design workshops
- Development of wire-frames and rapid proto-types
- Develop data standards and support definition of the technical foundation to enable business users to self-serve
- Lead efforts on data visualisation and reporting standards across Lending Works
- Review existing BI landscape and identify opportunities for simplification
- Ensure consistency of data definition, aggregation and reuse within the BI landscape
- Be proactive in bringing the latest approaches, techniques and technologies to our BI solutions
- Mentor more junior members of team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical subject (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science etc.) from a top university
- Familiarity with multiple BI tools (especially Tableau and Quicksight) with a deep expertise in at least one
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience designing, developing and testing BI solutions
- Experience leading and managing BI projects as well as mentoring more junior team members
- Excellent communication and data story-telling skills
- Strong Data analysis, data modelling and database design capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with stakeholders and gather requirements
- Organised and strategic approach to projects
- Excellent knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in BI
- Finance background with good working knowledge of loan performance metrics
- Experience programming in Python
- A/B testing and basic knowledge of statistical testing
- Experience in any major data warehousing projects
