WeDoData are working exclusively with a secondary school in Bristol who are looking to appoint an IT Lead Technician on a permanent basis.
The school is part of a wider academy trust, they are ‘Good’ Ofsted rated with some ‘Outstanding’ results. The whole IT team is part of a central team who are close-knit, supportive and inclusive. The organisation has a collaborative approach which offers scope to learn and develop within the role and opportunity to progress within the group.
This is a brand new role, working alongside two other Lead Technicians within the trust. As well as being a hands on role, there is also a responsibility to manage a lower-grade technician.
Ideal applicants will have:
- Experience working in a high pressure IT environment
- Hands on experience of server maintenance, repair and recovery
- Experience working within a school setting
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- A proactive approach
- Excellent communication skills
The following would be advantageous:
- Previous experience in a lead technician position
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience using Google platforms (Apple/Microsoft distinguished candidates also considered)
- Driver's license and vehicle
