Partner with the best
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will provide design expertise and guidance on all aspects of mechanical design to the business , including the design and development of products, solutions and systems relating to downhole completions.
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with engineering and operational colleagues to assess potential improvements driven by client feedback and feedback from the field.
  • Implementing design changes as required.
  • Demonstrating the suitability and robustness of design changes via calculation and analysis.
  • Demonstrating changes implemented are in accordance with relevant codes of practice.
  • Producing design reports.
  • Checking and production of technical drawings of mechanical / electro-mechanical components and assemblies / sub - assemblies.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical subject (i.e. Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering).
  • Have some downhole equipment design experience.
  • Have a good understanding of mechanical / structural analytical and numerical design techniques.
  • Have a good understanding of basic fluid mechanics and pipeline hydraulics.
  • Have a proven background with SolidWorks or similar modelling software.
