Job Description
Professional services organisation (with a great reputation) are currently looking for a Lead Software Developer, with good experience using the .Net framework, to join their Agile development team - hybrid working in Edinburgh City Centre.
They've been operating very successfully now for many many years, they've got a great reputation and a solid track record for retaining staff - short stints are highly unusual here. They're currently going through a digital transformation, and they've got big plans for the next few years - something you'll he heavily involved within.
You'll be joining their Agile squad which consists of roughly four Developers, who will be reporting directly to you. You'll be responsible for coaching and mentoring them on project work (so you'll ideally have good experience doing this in previous roles). You'll be leading the project work which consists of multiple large-scale Digital integration projects using modern .Net and Azure - you'll be involved in the project planning, assigning responsibilities within the team, whilst still being hands on and carrying out development duties.
You'll ideally describe yourself as a personable / chatty / outgoing Developer that really enjoys collaborative environments - as they're looking for someone that can really lead the team in a positive manner.
You'll ideally have commercial experience with most of the following;
** .Net Framework
** Azure (or AWS)
** Databases (SQL / Entity Framework)
** Coaching and Mentorship
** Project Leadership / ownership
Experience with the following is highly desirable;
** Microsoft Dynamics
** Modern JavaScript Libraries; Angular or ReactJS
** Technical Leadership / Team Lead / Line Management
This role would suit an ambitious Senior Software Developer that's really keen to lead a team and make their own mark, or an accomplished Lead Developer looking to sharpen their skillset - they're really flex, they're more than happy to help the right fit upskill, attitude is key for them.
They're based in Edinburgh City centre and do follow a hybrid working model, where you'll be expected in once a week for some face-to-face time with the team.
In return, they can offer a salary from £55k to £65k for this role + some really good benefits which includes (9% Pension, Private Healthcare, 35 days holiday etc).
