Lead Software Engineer – Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers in the architecture, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions. You will be a technical mentor and guide, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. You will also play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our products and ensuring they meet business objectives.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest software technologies and trends.
- Collaborate with project managers, delivery managers, and other stakeholders to understand and meet business needs.
- Define and maintain coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 2 years of experience in a lead/line management role
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of software engineers.
- Strong expertise in C# and the .NET framework
- Experience managing legacy VB platforms
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies – Agile Scrum/Kanban.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and testing software applications.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for building high-quality software and a desire to learn and grow.
