Job Description

London based Law firm are hiring a Learning & Development Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. The L&D Manager will be responsible for design, development and delivery of the full scope of learning and development across the firm.

Day to Day responsibilities:

  • Conduct Learning needs analyses to identify skills gaps
  • Manage junior team members and ensure coverage within the team
  • Develop the teams expertise
  • Enhance the Learning offering and design learning as required
  • Put together budget requests and present to Senior Managers
  • Develop delivery strategies
  • Source and manage vendor contracts
  • Innovate L&D approaches by leveraging industry best practices
  • Lead and program manage L&D events
  • Act as a strategic business partner supporting specialist functions



Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in an L&D Manager role ideally within a law firm or partnership environment
  • Experience managing and developing other L&D professionals
  • Experience identifying learning needs
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong internal stakeholder management skills
  • Experience designing and delivering learning solutions
  • Experience delivering DEI friendly inclusive programmes
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong instructional design skills
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, in person and virtual
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office skills - specifically Excel and PowerPoint



This is a 12 month fixed term contract. We will consider candidates who are on a maximum of 1 month notice and can wait up to 4 weeks for someone finishing a contract.

This role is based in London with a requirement to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

This is a full time, 5 days a week role.
