Job Description

Location: Hybrid – London, occasion travel to other offices

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Emeria UK operates in the residential real estate sector through its operating brands of FirstPort, Innovus, Knight Square and Campions. As the Legal Counsel you will be contributing to Emeria’s vision to be the leader of residential real estate services in the UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities include

  • In-house legal M&A advisor to run legal process end to end with external legal advisors and internal stakeholders, including but not limited to drafting and negotiating NDAs, selection of outside counsel, involvement in due diligence, review VDRs, execution and dealing with post-closing matters.
  • Making general recommendations to the business for integration/ compliance and regulatory advice and assisting/ advising them on the same.
  • Dealing with some document reviews as part of the DD process, as required, which may include reviewing leases, long term agreements and advising the business on how to exit/ integrate.
  • Working with the wider Corporate Emeria Legal team. This is a hybrid role with some attendance required at the London office.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Early involvement and anticipating legal issues.
    • Navigating the transaction process with in-house M&A new business team.
    • Communication and board reports on the transaction.
    • Integration/ Post Closing Matters.
    • Strategic alignment and risk management

      Experience

      • Qualified in the legal profession with 2-4 years PQE, below will be considered if candidate has pre-qualification experience.
      • In house experience desirable but not required.
