Our consulting efforts are aimed at helping organizations of any size develop and implement sustainable ergonomics programs. Humanscale is seeking qualified individuals for positions within our growing ergonomic consulting division.

Overview

The Managing Consultant is a leadership position within Humanscale’s Ergonomic Consulting Division.  The primary responsibility of the role is to grow consulting services and software revenue internationally, with an emphasis on growth within the U.K.  The Managing Consultant is responsible for managing and developing a team of full time regional ergonomists and partner ergonomists.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hiring, developing, and leading a team of full time and partner ergonomists
  • Lead business development efforts relative to developing new streams of consulting services and software revenue
  • Work with all Humanscale management and representatives to manage client opportunities and develop growth strategies
  • Prepare proposals for consulting services and software contracts
  • Prepare call lists, track activity, enter opportunities into Humanscale’s CRM tool
  • Regularly assess team member skill sets; create and maintain individual development plans.
  • Observe and participate in prospecting calls and the facilitation of services; providing constructive feedback to all consultants.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts including e-mail campaigns and tradeshows.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and deliver high level ergonomic presentations to key stakeholders and decision makers
  • Actively network with Ergonomists, EH&S, Facilities, HR, and Risk Management professionals

  • Effectively collaborate with other Humanscale departments (marketing, design studio, operations, customer service) on key initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of all Humanscale products

Qualifications

  • Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of business or consulting experience
  • Master’s degree in Human Factors or Ergonomics (or related field) and/or 5+ years’ experience as a practicing Ergonomist preferred
  • Successful track record of planning and execution
  • Ergonomic certification (AEP, CPE) or the ability to become certified by the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and associated applications required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and/or experience in office furniture or related industry, a plus
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel
