Role: Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Salary: £41,000 to £42,000 per annum + overtime & benefits Hours: 4 days a week, Days Only Location: Commutable from Stockport, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Wilmslow, Stretford and surrounding areas Company A heavy plant manufacturing company who offer challenging and rewarding careers to Engineers are looking for an individual, Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, who wants to be part of an established, loyal and successful team.

The role has come available from a promotion internally, moving one of the Mechanical Maintenance Fitters up to Team Leader.

They also offer opportunities for those with limited multi skilling skills and experience the opportunity to have investment and do some multi skilling courses if this is of interest too.

Responsibilities Working 4 shift a week, only days, you will work within a team of 15 Engineers (2 Mechanical Fitters / Maintenance Engineers and 1 Electrical Maintenance Engineer on shift at any one time), reporting into the Maintenance Team Leader and Engineering Manager, your role will include: Supportive maintenance across a good and interesting mix of equipment and machinery.

70% of your work is planned preventative, project and continuous improvement work.

30% is reactive, attending to and resolving breakdowns.

Dealing with belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.

Help support continuous improvements to machinery, planned shutdowns You will be given a company mobile phone to access maintenance system app, used to help you access outstanding jobs, pass on information such as completed jobs, troubles encountered and uploading/downloading diagrams etc.

Requirements Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications Experience with mechanical fitting work, within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment Machinery maintenance experience Any experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, welding or fabrication would be desirable Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in Friendly and adaptable working attitude If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Wesley at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
