The Team

OurDermatology Department consists of a multi-disciplinary team, includingDermatologists, Registrars and Dermatology Specialist Nurses. We provideacute dermatological assessment and treatment for patients in theCanterbury/West Coast districts.

TheDermatology Department is based in our Outpatient building which wascommissioned in 2019. The Dermatology space is purpose built.

The Role

TheCanterbury DHB are in the unique position where we are seeking a medicalDermatologist to join our service on a permanent basis. We are open to someonewho is looking for either full-time or part-time work, so you can enjoy ourwonderful lifestyle and attractions.

Youwill work in a dedicated Dermatology space, that includes four purpose-builtconsult rooms, two procedure rooms, phototherapy and patch testingsuites. Along with outpatient clinics, there will be some inpatientconsultation services for medical patients admitted under other services. You will be supported by a Dermatology registrar, a Clinical Nurse Specialistand a trained Dermatology nurse. Our current Dermatologist will workalongside you and share the clinical and teaching duties involved in the role. Youwill be supported to develop collegial relationships with public Dermatologyservices in both Waikato and Auckland, in order to further you development andcontinuing medical education.

Thesuccessful candidate will need to be eligible for vocational registration with theMedical Council of New Zealand.
