As the National Lead for the Health Citizens project you will provide project specific expertise and operational management of the Health Citizens project being delivered by St John Ambulance for young people from marginalized communities working towards opportunities for social action within their communities.
The Health Citizens project aims to work with young people (aged 16-25) from marginalized communities. They will be supported in planning and delivering a social action project tackling a health-related need within their community. There will also be opportunities to develop important skills such as Leadership, Teamwork, Project Management as well as employability skills.
As the National Lead for Health Citizens, you will support the development of St John Ambulance’s (SJA) offer for young people and the expansion of SJA’s reach within communities by assisting in the delivery of this new and exciting project.
The National Lead will provide project specific expertise, and operational management of the Health Citizens project being delivered by SJA to young people from marginalised communities, working towers opportunities for social action within their local area. This is an integral part of delivering the organisational drive to increase youth volumes and participation in SJA.
You will successfully manage the project Leaders across the country to ensure they are offering the best possible experience for its participants by way of a consistent approach to delivery and making the most of opportunities for the Health Citizens.
We aim to be able to deliver aspects of the Health Citizens project face to face, however some delivery using virtual platforms maybe needed to create a blended learning experience.

To be successful in this role you will have experience working with and managing staff/volunteer teams as well as experience of delivering provision aimed at increasing opportunities aimed at young people from marginalised communities.
