I'm currently working with a Leading Higher Education client that is on the search for a Network Engineer on a 12-month contract working fully remotely.
Position Overview:
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our campus network infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our network meets the evolving needs of our students, faculty, and staff. This role offers the opportunity to work with the latest networking technologies and contribute to the advancement of education through technology.
Qualifications / Skills
- degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- experience in network engineering roles, preferably in an educational or academic setting.
- knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
- with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, Cisco Prime).
