Job Title: Network Engineer – Field Based

Salary/Package: Up to £25-30k (Includes company car)
Location: Brighouse 2x week (Travelling to clients 3x week)
Fruition IT are recruiting for the internal IT team of a rapidly expanding recruitment agency with an eye for internal progression. By working within a rapidly changing environment, this role is an excellent opportunity for somebody relatively junior to grow and develop their skills with the company!
This role will require weekly travel to client-site, this will be 2-3 days per week most weeks; most of the sites are within 1-2 hours travel of Brighouse. However, there will be the very occasional need to travel further afield, as such, we are only considering candidates who hold a full UK driving license and are happy to travel on such a frequent basis.
Reporting to the Group IT Director, this candidate will be:
- Acting as a support network engineer for both internal and external clients
- Installing and configuring new network installations
- Providing IT services and infrastructure
- Escalation of irresolvable issues to 3rd line support
- Communicating with the support team and suppliers to purchase equipment and software
- Taking ownership and responsibility of branch issues resolution
The skills required to be successful in this role include:
- Full UK driver’s license
- Being personable, approachable and all-round friendly!
- Good foundations in understanding of IT technologies
- 12 months of experience in field support
- Experience with maintenance & configuration of operating systems like Windows 10 & 11
- Knowledge surrounding the networking field – Wireless APs / Routers / Switches / 4G / 5G
- Knowledge surrounding networking hardware – Cabling / Patching / Socket Installation
- Understanding of OSI or TCP/IP models
- Understanding of protocols like TCP / UDP / IP / DNS / DHCP / NAT / SSH
