My client, a forward thinking and customer focused fleet management business, is looking for a Network & Systems Manager to join their team.

The Network & Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring IT support for all sites is delivered efficiently and effectively in line with the operational requirements of the business and the IT strategy. You will work with relevant departments and managers in order to maximise internal customer satisfaction, and pre-empt and help resolve any service-related issues. The Network & Systems Manager will be responsible for meeting business and internal customer needs, in line with specified SLAs and KPIs. The Network & Systems Manager is responsible for delivering and maintaining service improvements identified by the business and/or the Headof IT.

Responsibilities: -

Management accountability for IT service desk for service delivery and support in line with ITIL practices. Provision of second- and third-line technical support as necessary.

Manage a team of Network & Systems Engineer(s) for BAU activities, providing guidance and support for staff development, measuring performance and identifying improvement opportunities.

Manage the deployment and support of high-availability IT infrastructure to ensure service availability and effective solution delivery.

Manage the technology's total cost of ownership (TCO), identifying opportunities to ensure that services are managed and maintained efficiently.

Manage the relationship with the 3rd party suppliers to ensure SLA is met.

Collaborate with the Head of IT and/or senior management team to ensure business efficiency and profitability.

Collaborate with other managers within the business to drive continuous service improvement.

Maintaining manuals, working instructions, system configurations and diagrams; ensuring that all processes, procedures and documentations are in line with company procedures.

Actively contribute towards the technology advancement and adoption of modern workplace collaboration services within Microsoft 365 / Azure platforms.

To monitor the performance and potential of your team and provide the direction, training and motivation necessary to secure their optimum commitment, competency and maximum efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and operating core IT infrastructure (on-premises, Cloud and Hybrid), including end- points, servers, storage, networks, telephony, backup and security systems. The successful candidate will also have proven experience in managing an IT service desk including people, process and technology using ITIL practices along with proven experience in managing and delivering IT projects using PRINCE2 practices.

There will be occasional travel to other sites therefore you must hold a full driving licence.
