Medivet Thurmastonisa sparkling new practicewiththe latest technology including an x-ray room with digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy,tonometerand orthopaedic equipment. Our Thurmaston practiceisour new 24-hour practice in Leicester with a loyal client base.
As a Night Vet Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing,treatingand managing various medical conditions in small animal practice. Using a combination of your medicalexpertise, surgicalproficiency, and communication skills to provide exceptional care, ensuring the health and happiness of our patients and clients.
Your shifts willcompriseof working 7pm-9amand we are flexible on the pattern you choose to work.
You’llfind us conveniently situated in the heart of the village of Thurmaston, four miles north of the city centre of Leicester. With Thurmaston Shopping Centre less than a mile away,you'llhave a variety of options for Lunch at your convenience.Wehave free parking onsite andwe’rean easy commuteifyou’retraveling from surrounding locations such as Melton Mowbray,Nottingham, Derby, etc with transport linkssuch as the A46/M1 withincloseproximity.Airports are also easily accessible with East MidlandsAirport just a30 minutedrive and BirminghamAirport can be reached in less than an hour.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
- Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
- Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
- Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
- Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
- Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
- Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
- Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
- Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
- Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
