Location: Walton-on-Thames Surrey KT12 2ED

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 annual salary + annual travel budget

Our Nursery is a beautiful spacious setting and provides the highest quality childcare to children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

As well as offering Forest School sessions in our local woodland, we also offer multi-sports, cooking, sing and sign and Yoga to ensure the children at our nursery have every opportunity to develop holistically. Our onsite chef produces a varied and delicious menu providing nutritious meals for the children and staff.

What will your role as a Nursery Manager look like?

This would suit a Nursery Manager who’s looking for a new challenge or a Deputy Nursery Manager that wants to step up; with previous experience, strong leadership skills and a passionate person who can inspire and motivate.


The selected Nursery Manager must have a sound knowledge of all company policies, procedures, statutory welfare requirements, and Ofsted expectations and requirements. 

Main Duties:

·      To lead, achieve and manage high quality care and education 

·      Excellent communicator at all levels

·      Managing all day-to-day operations of the nursery

·      Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues

·      To always ensure the welfare and safety of all children in the Nursery and ensure that children’s individual needs are met at all times

·      Ability to organise own work effectively and that of others, identify priorities and meet outcomes

·      Lead pedagogical excellence, demonstrating high levels of drive, enthusiasm and passion

·      Working towards gaining Hygge accreditation for the nursery

·      Keeping yourself and your team up to date on current early childhood thinking/trends, responding to any developments in a proactive way.

·      Marketing the nursery and engaging with local networking groups to build occupancy

·      Effectively managing the nursery budget and occupancy levels.


Essential Skills:

·      A Level 3 or above Childcare qualification or equivalent

·      A passionate and positive attitude towards working with children

·      Excellent knowledge and understanding of Child Development, EYFS, OFSTED and Safeguarding requirements

·      To be punctual and well organised

·      Passionate about Early years education and childcare

·      Good ICT skills-Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc

·      Excellent written communication with ability to produce and evaluate reports

·      An enhanced DBS check


Desirable Criteria:

·      Recent First Aid Certificate

·      Safeguarding and Child Protection training

·      Previous experience as a Deputy Manager would be desirable
