NEW PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY FOR A PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER WITH A NATIONAL SECURITY COMPANY IN LONDON
SUMMARY:
Permanent opportunity in Central London for talented senior software engineers to work on critical government projects.
You will have the chance to be sponsored through various levels of UK Government security clearance.
Salary up to £100,000 accompanied by a large training/certification budget.

We are recruiting software engineers for a globally leading consultancy in London to work on a portfolio of public and private sector projects. We work across a range of industries, supporting both small and large clients using cutting edge technology. Due to the nature of our clients, you must have or be able to obtain SC security clearance which we will sponsor!
This role supports the ever increasing need to protect our national security through development of software applications in an Agile environment to collect data, analyse it and allow our customers to make information aware decisions. An exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and to tackle some of the biggest national security challenges. We have multiple positions for engineers that have relevant security clearances and those that are able to gain them.
WHAT WILL THE SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER BE DOING?
Technical Lead within a large project / over multiple projects - seen as the "go to" person for the project team
Responsible for the design of the overall software solution including justification to senior internal and external stakeholders
Support business capture activities such as bids by proving subject matter expertise input
Continue to perform hands-on development / troubleshooting
Support companywide software projects by providing technical assurance
THE SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING….
Languages: Java, JavaScript, C++ or Python
Cloud-based architectures: AWS or Azure
DevOps Automated Deployment: Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes
Database Technologies: SQL, Elasticsearch or MongoDB
Testing Technologies: Cypress, Selenium or Cucumber
