Professional Indemnity Solicitor / Senior Associate - (3+ PQE) -
An opportunity with huge potential for a senior-level Solicitor with experience in professional indemnity at a major legal 500 law firm.
Senior Claims Solicitor 3 + PQE defending solicitor professional negligence claims.
Professional indemnity/claims however there will also be the opportunity to get involved in the broader aspects of risk & compliance.
For the successful candidate, there may also be the opportunity to conduct client work, typically claimant professional negligence work across a number of sectors.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
*
Supporting the firms Risk and Compliance Director by taking the lead in managing all aspects of claims made against the Firm
*
Act as a sounding board for internal referrals of potential / actual circumstances, capturing and assessing the issues in hand to frame notification/s to the firm's PI broker and PI insurer
*
Assist with the delivery of key projects - including ad hoc audits and the firm's PII renewal process
*
Capturing and monitoring key 'trends' of both near misses and actual claims, conducting 'root cause analysis' to suggest amendments to approach and processes
*
Monitor emerging claims risks (internally and externally) to deliver training and awareness in support of the wider risk and compliance training objectives
The successful candidate will:
*
Be a Solicitor of around 3-6 years PQE, ideally with previous 'in house' experience
*
Have experience of professional negligence claims, PI insurance coverage and a strong commercial outlook in relation to resolving claim
*
Have a demonstrated track record of working well within a team
*
Be flexible, supportive, and sensitive in their approach to the demands of defending professional negligence claims.
