Our client are a leading international law firm who are seeking a Professional Negligence Solicitor with 3+PQE to join their Insurance Litigation team at the Associate or Senior Associate level.

The team act on behalf of large insurers to defend claims against a range of professionals including solicitors, accountants, surveyors, brokers and financial advisors, as well as complex claims against construction and engineering professionals.
As a member of this team you will investigate the circumstances surrounding claims whilst identifying any key evidence and appropriate lines of enquiry, take witness statements, draft pleadings and manage the conduct of defended court actions in the Court of Session and the Sheriff Court. You will have the responsibility of instructing experts and counsel and assisting in preparing the reports for Insurer clients.
To be considered for this role you will need to have gained 3+ years’ post-qualification experience in litigation, ideally working with insurer clients. Whilst professional negligence experience is preferred, our client are open to seeing candidates who may not have experience but are keen to re-specialise into this area. You should be able to give succinct advice on all areas of liability, causation, strategy and quantum and resolve disputes via ADR where appropriate.
