The Faculty of Life Science and Medicine seeks to appoint a Joint Head of the School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Sciences (Head of Comprehensive Cancer Centre). The School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Sciences comprises the Comprehensive Cancer Centre (CCC) and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. King’s CCC is the academic arm of one of the leading cancer centres in Europe, with outstanding basic through to clinical research being conducted across a broad range of areas.
In addition to the Head of School position, the role holder will be appointed to a permanent Professorial position in the area of Oncology in the School of Cancer and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The post is open to either clinical or non-clinical academics with it being essential for the role holder to have an excellent grasp of the full range of academic activities from basic science through to clinical translation.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding academic of international reputation in oncology who is an experienced strategic leader with an understanding and appreciation of the breadth of research conducted within the CCC.
