Social Money Group exist on the cutting edge of Financial Technology (FinTech). The group currently has two successful and well established brands in both Retail & Bridging Finance, with a brand new state-of-the-art product recently launched that is about to turn point-of-sale finance on its head.
This is an excellent time to be a part of something ready to take the UK by storm. Social Money Group are looking for a PR professional capable of crafting ideas that keep both themselves and the brands they’re representing, fresh and updated. Someone who can see the bigger picture, with the sole purpose of steering a business or organisation on the right path.
A true professional able to establish lasting connections with multiple audiences. Willing to fight adversity, seize opportunities, pitch stories, maintain a positive image, cultivate strong media connections and add value to each individual brands strategic objectives. This is not a job for the light-hearted. You’ll be thick skinned and professional. The role will report directly into the Group CEO and Managing Directors. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping grow each of our three brands, managing crisis situations and fostering positive media relations.
About the role:
• Lead and execute the communication strategy with an emphasis on public relations, crisis management, and adverse media response.
• Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns.

What we’re looking for:
• Qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred.
• 3+ year’s experience in PR, corporate communications, or related roles, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of each brand's ecosystem, including key players, trends, and regulatory considerations.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear and compelling messaging to different audiences.
• Proven track record of securing media coverage and building relationships with journalists and influencers.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative PR campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in PR measurement and reporting - systems and tools provided.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary for this role is £40-£45k (pro rata for a part time role)
