About You
Nobody's Child prides itself on the quality of our responsible product. Our Garment Technology team is expanding, and we are now looking for an experienced quality control checker to be based in our DC in Milton Keynes to be our eyes and ears, ensuring quality standards are championed and maintained as an extension of the in-house team of garment technicians.
Day to day, your responsibilities will include:
- working closely with warehouse checkers to check production is in line with Business expectation.
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained across all product areas and across Supplier base.
- providing clear details, in report form, on any quality failures and faults and monitor all quality issues by Supplier and faulty reasons.
- reporting on overall quality, highlighting underperforming Suppliers.
- Suggesting new ways of improving quality and train current qc checkers and ensure standards are maintained.
- Reporting in Tech team at Head Office, communicating with all stakeholders of the Business to ensure smooth running and maintenance of the inspection and quality process.
- Holding meetings with in-house Tech team
- Managing quality issues in a speedy fashion, ensuring all graded specs are submitted prior to arrival of stock.
- Chase Suppliers for missing specs directly. Monitor and action special inspection requests by tech team via Monday board.
- Identify the individual inspection requirements for each style / SKU.
- Establish Inspection Manuals as a guide with checklist.
You'll come with similar experience working within a warehouse/DC or a supplier environment, in a similar fast paced role. You'll be proactive in identifying quality issues, upholding standards of practice and be an excellent communicator with many stakeholders.
