The Client We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor for our client, a Tier 1 M&E Contractor with offices & projects in the North-West.

They are currently looking to expand their commercial team due to securing multiple, sizeable new build projects.

Our client is happy to review CV's from candidates with transferrable skills from other sectors such as construction, civils or utilities.

Their main aim is to find someone who has the right attitude and is willing to work hard, learn and progress.

This is a great opportunity for a QS to broaden their skill set to include M&E with full support given.

The role has a negotiable salary of between £50-55K for the intermediate role and £60-65K for the Senior QS position.

The Role and its Responsibilities Working with the commercial team and their workload Feasibility studies for client proposals Ensuring workload is covered effectively and that compliance and processes are being followed Ensure budget and cost control procedures being used effectively Production of forecasting, budget information and accurate reports for company and client Maximising the cash flow on a project Measuring and valuations of of works Identify and mitigate commercial risks Invoicing and payments Ensuring that commercial deliverables and timescales are met Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks Meeting attendance The Individual We are looking for a candidate who has excellent verbal and written communication skills, who can problem solve effectively and offer a good customer/client service.

You should be naturally resilient and determined and be able to work well under pressure with a good eye for detail within your work.

As the client are open to sourcing a candidate from a non M&E background, they will offer full support and training for an applicant who is from a different sector.

Skills and Qualifications Industry relevant degree qualified IT literate with experience working with relevant industry software Experience at working on projects within the residential, industrial and healthcare sectors is desirable.

Salary and Package The client is offering a negotiable salary of between £50-55K for the QS role or £60-65K for the Senior position along with favourable industry benefits and excellent career prospects
