Our client is a leading real estate capital advisory business. They work clients advising with their financings across the capital stack providing a sophisticated structuring and execution service. They work across all asset classes and UK and European geographies. Their aim is to be a trusted and valued partner, with relationships built on deep client service and teamwork.
The ideal candidate will be a real estate finance lawyer, whether in practice or in-house with a lender or a client. They are looking for someone that not only has a legal background but is commercial, adaptable and entrepreneurial.
A large part of the job is working in a team to ensure that the loans put in place for our clients allow them to implement their business plans, and that the documentation accurately reflects the commercial deal. Solving problems and workable solutions to obstacles as they arise throughout the execution process is also a key part of the role. Candidates will also be exposed to the origination and loan structuring side of the business and will be client facing from day one.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Negotiating term sheets with lenders
- Reviewing and commenting on loan documentation (from a commercial perspective)
- Managing existing and developing new relationships with prospective clients
- Working within a team framework to execute transactions
- Assisting in general negotiations with lenders throughout execution process
- Assisting in the preparation of marketing materials
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise and close transactions
- Discuss commercial terms with clients and their advisors
