The Role
Here at Penmellyn Vets we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team covering maternity. The duties will include:
General nursing duties
Care of day patients and inpatients
Monitoring anaesthetics
Assisting Veterinary Surgeons
Care and maintenance of equipment
Stock control
Occasional reception work
As this is a branch surgery role there will be no night work. You will be expected to work at least one later finish of 6.30pm and be part of our 1:4 Saturday rota.

Penmellyn’s practices are in the heart of Cornwall and we strive to provide first class care to our team, clients, and pets alike. Overall, we employ 25 full time Veterinary Surgeons and 50 veterinary Nurses across our sites, we have an exceptionally supportive and forward-thinking team whom we are immensely proud of. Our branch surgeries generally have a lead Vet working alongside one other Vet and up to 4 Nurses.
Applicant Requirements
Our ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse or Student Veterinary Nurse with at least 1 years’ experience.
