What you will be doing?
This a challenging and interesting opportunity for a Regulation Delivery Analyst to deliver policy support and expertise to the business on current and future regulatory requirements. You will work with the business area to produce high-quality regulatory and stakeholder submissions that advance Thames' strategic priorities.
As a member of the wider Strategy and External Affairs team, this role will be expected to develop and maintain proactive, supportive and positive relationships with key internal and external contacts

  • Work cross-functionally in the Thames to lead on the delivery of our policy priorities both internally and externally.
  • Lead on aspects of our PR24 price review submission to Ofwat, creating a plan that is high quality, timely and tells a compelling story of Thames' ambitions
  • Develop strong relationships across Thames Water ensuring that colleagues fully understand all regulatory requirements for their area
  • Project management of cross-departmental initiatives that are key deliverables in our PR24 price review submission, ensuring that we meet both our Quality and Ambition aspirations at our Final Determination
  • Translate and lead the policy agenda for the business areas into a joined-up delivery programme, ensuring consistency with regulatory stakeholder engagement and wider strategic agenda.
  • Partner with the functional areas to deliver high quality, impactful and on-time formal and informal regulatory submissions (functionally focussed and business-wide), taking full ownership and leadership of specialist regulatory submissions
What you will bring to the role?
  • Ideally you will have some previous experience in utility regulation, obtained in the water industry or a similar asset management industry
  • Strong project management skills, and experience in operating a system of project controls, in a project management environment.
  • Highly effective communication skills to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders, manage others and gain cooperation, where necessary, to deliver strategic commercial and regulatory outcomes.
  • High levels of influencing and collaborative skills in working with a wide variety of personnel from different backgrounds and with diverse roles within the business, including at senior levels.
  • Able to demonstrate that you can deliver on time within tight deadlines and to budget, and work within corporate governance procedures
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Expertise in some or all Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
