Having written over $877m in gross written premium in 2023, we’ve achieved significant growth since our beginnings in 2021. Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333 year-old industry was working. There are hardly any industries left that are mainly paper based, but the specialty insurance market is one. Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers place risk in a fast and frictionless way. We’re continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities.
Purpose of the Role
As a Reserving Analyst, you will play an integral part ensuring the success of our reserving team. In conjunction with the Reserving Managers, you will work closely with the relevant Underwriting teams and support other group functions in respect of the actuarial reserving. This will include the design and maintenance of reserving tools, the processing of reserving data, the validation and interpretation of results and production of reports as well as business planning.
Within this role you will undertake production of the quarterly reserving study for Ki, calculating of the best estimate reserves and currency allocations. You will assist in the design of evolution of the future state of reserving through development of new processes to ensure accuracy in outputs and communications and to create a ‘best-in-class’ reserving process. You will undertake an appropriate level of analysis to support business decisions and provide additional insight to the business to understand key drivers and understand uncertainties behind claims emergence.
This is an unique opportunity to join a new team, and to input in to the reserve transformation process at its inception. We are looking for a creative thinker, who is eager to use innovative techniques and data science to enhance Ki’s commercial insight and approach to reserving. We are seeking candidates from graduate to part-qualified level, eager to become a qualified actuary.
