What you'll be doing
The Retail Strategy Manager heads up strategy across the Retail business. During the Price Review process, this role will be the lead for the Retail submission working with a matrix team from across the organisation to deliver a high-quality plan. Outside of Price Reviews, the role will lead to maturing our long-term vision and strategies across the multiple parts of Retail (e.g., Customer Services, Developer Services). The role will also be responsible for our current Partnerships and our approach to growing our
Partnerships ecosystem to increase non-regulated income.
What you should bring to the role
Content/Technical

  • Previous experience creating and embedding strategy
  • Previous project/programme management experience
  • Good with data - able to analyse, translate and govern
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and can engage colleagues to deliver to tight deadlines
Business/Operational
  • A good knowledge of the water or similarly regulated industries
  • Experience with a price review or similar process
  • Comfortable with direct internal and external senior engagement
  • Clear and effective communicator and able to influence
Leadership and Management
  • Demonstrates strong decisions making skills and ability to work under pressure under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence to help people to think differently about their approach
  • Experience leading a team and managing workloads

As part of your role, you'll be required to participate in a rota to provide Customer Incident Support, as requested by the Company from time to time. This may be by supporting our customers on the frontline as an Ambassador or being part of the team managing the incident as a Control Tower Lead.
