Responsibilities
- Create engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and foster a love for science among students
- Conduct experiments and demonstrations to enhance student understanding and engagement
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress
- Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement innovative teaching methods
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of science education and incorporate them into teaching practices
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Science (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Proven experience teaching Science at the primary or secondary level
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
- Creative and adaptable teaching methods that cater to the diverse learning needs of students
- A passion for science and the ability to instil that passion in young learners
