Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging science lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessment materials
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students' participation and fosters their love for science
- Assess students' progress and provide timely feedback to students and their parents or guardians
- Supervise and maintain discipline both inside and outside the classroom
- Participate in school events, including parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and extracurricular activities
- Stay updated with the latest teaching techniques, educational resources, and scientific developments
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience as a Science teacher in a primary or secondary school setting
- In-depth knowledge of the science curriculum and the ability to deliver effective and engaging lessons
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet the demands of a dynamic teaching environment
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in science
