Job Description
Be responsible for delivery of an effective and efficient insurance service across the 10 SEERPIC forces and help deliver better financial outcomes for SEERPIC with improved management information, reporting and data quality and SEERPIC level management of risk and exposure.
Support the SEERPIC Board in the development, review and updating of the SEERPIC strategy for delivery of an Insurance Service further aligning service standards, operating processes and procedures to achieve single ways of working across the 10 forces and exploring insurance shared service options as well as other areas of strategic importance as contained within the SEERPIC strategy.
Act as Chair of the Insurance Group as per the 10 force / policing bodies Section 22a discharging responsibilities under that legal agreement and be the conduit between the Insurance Practitioners and the SEERPIC Board.
Essential Criteria
1. Degree and/or professional qualification e.g. Associate/Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute ACII /FCII, Registered Risk Practitioner (RRP), Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Risk Management
2. Significant general insurance experience
3. Experience in public sector functional / technical competencies and levels – (minimum entry requirements)
4. Experience of working across geographical areas and/or in complex organisations with the ability to co-ordinate stakeholders across the 10 forces
Desirable criteria
1. Knowledge of the SEERPIC Insurance Programmes (desirable)
