We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager who has integrated experience to join our growing team on our Alcon account. Alcon is a global contact lens company. One of the largest manufacturers of contact lenses and lens care products, as well as providing a complete line of surgical products and technology to treat all types of eye conditions.


Alcon are the Carlsberg of clients. They are nice people, respectful of strategy and the creative process, take advice well and have real creative ambition. Our remit at Iris is on their global/regional product launches and toolkits, as well as some local executions across their Vision Care and Surgical portfolio. The work is integrated and varied from moving image (not telly), digital, social, OOH and print.


How you'd spend your day


•This role requires a mix of client and internal leadership and project delivery.Reporting into the Account Director there is clear headroom to grow personally and professionally, and as such the ability to manage upwards to build trust is important.


•Line management responsibilities of the team's Account Executive; ensuring they feel supported, are learning and growing within their role and setting standards for them.


•Internally, you’ll be working closely with multiple internal capabilities such as Project Management, Strategy, Creative and Design.


•Externally, you’ll work with a broad range of clients, who are based across the globe, so building strong relationships and open lines of communication is key.


•You will be a key day-to-day client contact and be viewed as an integral part of the business, who is able to offer valuable input on strategy, delivery and creative.


•Ensuring operational excellence on the account and projects you manage.


•You will help lead key client meetings including status meetings, briefings, inter-agency meetings, and agency presentations.


•Have a solid understanding of strategy and always ensure that you and the team are working towards the objectives set out in the brief.


What we’re looking for


We’re looking for an energetic, driven account handler who’s keen to learn and ready to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. You will be working within a passionate team and a broad selection of clients on the Alcon account who all care about producing great work.


•A self-starter who takes ownership, can set the pace, utilise the agency’s multi-faceted offering and has high standards to deliver work that makes a difference to the client’s business.


•Personable, with anatural ability to develop strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.


•Commercially driven, experienced in managing projects day-to-day, and who revels in identifying new opportunities.


•Able to thrive in an agile environment with obsessiveattention to detail. You should be organised as well as being flexible, a natural problem solver, and have the ability to stay cool under pressure.


•Experience working on a Global account, and/or with non-UK based clients, would be beneficial but not essential.


•Experience working on a healthcare account, would be beneficial but not essential.
