Agratas are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer - IT Capex/Opex Purchase to be based on a hybrid basis from our Coventry office to support the construction and industrialisation of our recently announced state-of-the-art, multi-billion-pound battery manufacturing facility near Bridgwater in Somerset. Using your expertise and knowledge within the automotive, engineering or industrial manufacturing industries you role will support the delivery of one of the largest ever investments in the UK automotive sector.

You will be responsible for leading the IT OT Opex/Capex end to end procurement process of IT components and release of AMC contracts required for the functioning of the gigafactory.
Key Duties:
- Be able to lead and manage the RFI, RFQ, Cost Comparison, Zero based costing, Negotiation & awarding process.
- Establish beneficial working relationships with various internal groups across the organization including various programs, regional/country offices, legal, finance, and others.
- Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including change management.
- Contract management and procurement for IT services and equipment and HR and Admin functions - Purchasing of software licenses, cloud based SaaS systems.
- You will be required to manage the sourcing portfolio ensuring transparency of the PO.
- To prepare and propose cost reduction strategies and category plan to Procurement Lead.
Essential Experience:
- Proven work experience in Indirect Sourcing, primarily in an IT function for an automotive/tech company.
- Experience with sourcing and vendor management.
- Broad knowledge about Contract finalisation.
- Strong knowledge of legal requirements and legislation.
- Awareness of price trends of hardware and Software.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Capable of managing self-activity planning and sorting priorities as per deadlines and work without supervision.
- Experience within a green field or brown field project would be desirable.
