Civil & Structural Engineering, Transport Infrastructure
((BST: 8:00 - 18:00 (Mon/Thurs) 8:00 - 16:00 (Fri)))
We are seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join a Medium sized UK based consultancy in London. team in the United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible for leading and managing infrastructure projects, aiding project management, mentoring junior staff and supporting the associate and Director on a multitude of projects. You will have the ability to gain more site experience as one of the technical leads in the office to come up with solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage infrastructure projects from concept to completion with some elements of Construction ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and client requirements
- Conduct site investigations and be the design lead for construction professionals
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications for infrastructure projects including Flood risk Assessments reports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure project coordination and integration
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to ensure project success
- Manage and co – ordinate and undertake highways and drainage design for developments of varying sizes
Candidate Profile
- Must have UK right to work, can not sponsor Engineers
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable
- Circa 6 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management
- Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects within budget and timeline
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
