Role: Software Engineer
Location: Bath, Somerset
Salary: £ competitive
Hybrid working: 3x office days and 2x days working from Home.
The Role:
- Full life cycle software engineering
- Requirement elicitation, high level design, development, test documentation.
- Maintenance and enhancement of existing products including direct 3rd line support for client’s engineers and technicians and Field Service Engineers.
- Development of new products.
- Software build management.
- Supervision of Junior Software Engineers.
Essential skills:
- Broad software development experience. real time processes, database
- C++/C,
- Linux or Windows development environment – inter process comms – RPM/Installer
- TCP, Serial comms.
Desirable skills:
- Embedded, 32-bit microcontroller, ARM, PIC.
- GUI development.
- Java, Python,
- PHP, SQL, BASH, HTML.
- Subversion.
- PostgreSQL/SQLite
- Eclipse, Visual Studio
- Autotools.
- I2C, One Wire comms, PCI Bus.
