We are looking for a strong Senior Digital Event / Account Manager to lead a small team and support Microsoft to roll out their first party events.

Here’s what you’ll do

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be supporting the Microsoft Experiential team and Momentum Accounts team to seamlessly deliver both in-person and virtual experiences. You will have a passion for events and will be able to carry out an executional role managing, delivering, and enhancing multiple events throughout the fiscal year.

Project management and operational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple workstreams, communication (including frequently presenting) and proactivity are key for this role.

Core Role / Project R&Rs

  • Ability to support senior management in the end-to-end delivery of B2B in-person & virtual events from small training events to large scale exhibitions & broadcast virtual events
  • Take ownership of key process documentation, managing budgets & timelines to ensure successful event delivery
  • Champions reporting and evaluation across all events with ability to confidently implement and push forward learnings and best practices across full Microsoft event portfolio.
  • Able to manage multiple events at one time, successfully working with and delegating to team members
  • Comfortable virtually prepping and briefing event speakers / presenters ahead of events
  • Manages onsite event build/ delivery or provides full live day virtual event management, carrying out final technical checks, organizing speakers and content, supporting with Q&A and note / action taking for evaluation purposes

Agency

  • Implementation of project management / plans and positively champion timings / deadlines.
  • Ongoing account administration, delivering detailed, accurate and timely updates to Momentum Accounts team.
  • Attend client and partner events and meetings as required - role could require a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Participate in a team environment that facilitates mutual respect and partnership across functions; quality thinking; appropriate risk taking; strong internal communications; and regular performance feedback.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the Momentum & McCann Worldgroup core disciplines, leveraging this to identify opportunities for organic growth.
  • Show full understanding of agency structure and functions and use resources appropriately and efficiently to the mutual benefit of the agency and client.
  • Participates actively in the Momentum & McCann Worldgroup training curriculum, selecting courses relevant to personal development and progression within the agency.

Client

  • Builds thorough understanding of Microsoft’s business and audiences internally and externally to inform the “why” as well as the “what” we do
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels, working as part of the core client team as well as the agency team
  • Projects confidence and enthusiasm to the client
  • Experience using Microsoft products, specifically Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Interest and passion for technology, marketing and virtual business / skilling events
  • Supports the wider Microsoft team on the management of other internal projects as and when required

Here’s what we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a Senior Account Manager
  • Experience in team/ event resourcing, and planning
  • Experience in delivering B2B events of varying scales (virtually & in-person - virtual events is desired but not mandatory)
  • Experience working with Microsoft’s systems and products is desired but not mandatory
  • Successful track record of building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Excellent and strong attention to detail
  • Strong organization and time management skills (including building project plans)
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in presenting
  • Strong IT skills including experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Polished, professional demeanor, projects confidence and enthusiasm for the business
  • Results focused with ability to multi-task and prioritize within a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable working in an area you might not have worked in before with confidence and willingness to be flexible and to take on new challenges
